HidHud

Sound Ritu𐤀l for Echoing Wishes

Hidhud is private wish-echoing ritual that happens inside of HED, a sound based AR system.

Every participant gets a 5 to 20 minute private wish-echoing session,

with groups of up to 8 people at a time.

Hidhud happens inside "HED":

HED is a sound based augmented reality system -  its reality with more layers.

The light, sound and movements are effecting each other creating a feeling of discovery inside the known.

Each session starts with writing an intention - the thing you wish to echo into the space.

It can be a personal wish or something you want to be able to do.

It can be a general prayer for a different future.

It can be deep and meaningful.

It can be small and funny.

All the intentions are collected

and added to a database of the things we wish.

They are important.

𐤀 Sample from Beginning of 𐤀 session:

Flow of the experience:

𐤀t the entrance, a facilitator welcomes participants.

Each person is invited to write a wish, prayer, or intention on a small piece of paper. The facilitator briefly explains the process and provides headphones.

The participants sit facing Jacob.

Jacob creates a short, unique sound piece for each participate, composed live as a direct response to their presence and their written intention.

In this individual moments, the group and Jacob come together in a shared act: the intention is sung or vocalized collectively.

Participants hear their own voices embedded within the evolving soundscape through the headphones.

When the ritual concludes, the group leaves the space, making room for the next participants. Each session is unrepeatable. The sound, voices, and wishes are created only for that moment.

Hed 𐤄ד  is a Sound Based Augmented Reality System designed by Nir Jacob Younessi.

Hed captures the sounds of its surroundings and transforms them through code.

It reshapes the space by adding layers into reality, altering perception, and generating an alternative sonic view of the surrounding.

When you use the system things don’t appear as we are used to and listening itself becomes an act of transformation.
